Software Development

Opere Facto is a boutique software house that develops software for cloud, mobile or desktop and has extensive industry experience of building both very large and complex software projects costing in the millions to very small projects costing several thousand pounds.

We believe that the correct software for a business can improve sales and increase profits. Bespoke software can provide a competitive edge particularly in a business with well-defined processes.

Our approach to software development is to use industry standard best practices that have been proven to work over a long period. We only work on a single project at a time to provide maximum availability of our resources to our customer.  When initially approached we take the time to understand exactly what you’re looking for. Generally, we will hold one or more workshops to examine your idea in detail, formalise it into a requirements specification and a design specification. The requirements specification will be used to define a set of milestones in the development of the software, where at each the milestone, you the customer can check the software is being developed correctly. The design specification describes in a formal manner what will be built and concomitantly defines a costing for the project.

For all sorts of reason building software is an inherently risky endeavour. We have an upper limit to the size of project that we will accept.  This is to ensure risk attached to the project is manageable with defined limits.

We are happy to work on:

  • Customizing commercial off the shelf software

  • Custom development of new products

  • Migrating legacy products to new platforms

  • Integrating cross platform applications

Programming Languages

We are language and platform agnostic but wherever possible will focus on C# and .Net Core on Azure. Our focus is on keep the solution as simple as possible, reducing niche use cases to a minimum, thereby reducing risk. Our focus is on delivery.  In cases where our capability is lacking, we will subcontract the work to our partners.
